THE YAMAHA FG SERIES
Since it was introduced in the 1960’s, the Yamaha FG has been recognized as simply the best acoustic guitar in its league. Millions of guitarists recall the part an FG has played in their playing career. The FG is a perfect example of Yamaha’s unique combination of traditional craftsmanship and modern guitar-building techniques. Everything focuses on the same goal: an outstanding playing experience, and the great tone that’s made FG the choice of some of the greatest players in history. Now, the greatest players of the future are choosing it too.
A Living Legend
Around for more than 40 years now, the FG Series offers outstanding quality with features like non-scalloped X-bracing and reverse-L neck block. Solid tops provide excellent performance and quality, delivering the clear sound characteristic of the FG series. All in all, an excellent instrument truly enjoyable to play.
Dovetail Neck Joint:
The joint between body and neck is essential to an acoustic guitar, not just for physical stability but also for sound. The efficient transfer of vibrations from neck to body is crucial in creating a full and balanced tone. All Yamaha acoustic guitars feature a hand-fitted dovetail neck joint. The precisely crafted joint uses no metal parts and gives the guitar the best neck-to-body contact for outstanding tone along with incredibly strength and stability.
Thin Finish:
All Yamaha FG guitars feature our signature ultra-thin finish. The perfect combination of advanced finish technology and artisan hand-spraying techniques ensures the rich, high-gloss finish on FG models is around 0.25 mm thin. It provides the minimum restriction of vibrations of the wood, and a louder, fuller tone while remaining incredibly strong and resilient.

Bracing Pattern:
The main purpose of bracing on an acoustic guitar is to strengthen the top against the tension of the strings. Also, by modifying the vibrations of the guitar’s top, the bracing also serves to create the guitar’s tonal signature. Yamaha’s FG guitars use a non-scalloped X-bracing design with each of the eight braces carefully positioned to tailor the guitar’s sound. They perfectly complement the tone woods used in order to create the FG’s unmistakable combination of clear and balanced tone with incredible control. The use of non-scalloped bracing ensures your FG will retain its tone, response, and stability for a lifetime of playing.

I didn’t buy this product from amazon so I have nothing to share about the quality of shipment, BUT…
… I went out to plenty guitar stores looking for a guitar in the price range below 0. After almost giving up on the mission of buying a guitar which suits my budget and sounds the way a steel string guitar should sound like. After trying many guitars this beauty was the ONLY one which met my expectations and fully satisfied my very critical ears. Clearly, this is no Gibson, but it is for beginners who want a guitar which makes them happy for a long time without becoming frustrated with a low-quality guitar, but also for immediate players who want a good guitar they can afford and even for the advanced as a backup to leave the house with without getting nervous about having an expensive guitar in the trunk for a while or such It’s a beauty and even better: it sounds like one 0

This review is from: Yamaha FG720SL Left-Handed Acoustic Guitar, Natural (Electronics)
This guitar can keep up the the most expensive guitars on the market. The fret board has comfy action and is not to thick. The sound is that of a 3000.00 dollar big named pocket killer. As it ages expect the sound to get richer. This is my second in the past 18 years. I lost my first one to theft. You will be very happy once you buy this.

Great great guitar, I’ve purchased 3 grand martin, took 6 months to get, arrived with cracked bridge, owned 3 Taylor’s , better, but over priced, for what I paid with this yamaha, I’m laughing all the way to the bank. Arrived flawless, set up very well, sounds wonderful, neck profile is comparable to a martin P , thin tapper, extremely comfortable, 1 11/16 nut, 25 9/16 scale. Gloss top, neck, but very slick, easy easy to play. Yes, it’s Chinese made, prefer to buy American, but no longer. I’m sold. Great guitar for the money, a no brainer, I’m 58 ..I know value. This is value.
