When it comes to miking sound sources that reside close to the floor (such as kick drums or amplifiers), you need the right tool for the job. The Low-level Tripod Mic Stand with Boom fits the bill perfectly, boasting a tripod base for stability and an adjustable height of up to 17.7″. The fixed boom arm adds additional flexibility. The powder-coated finish keeps the Low-level Tripod Mic Stand with Boom looking good through years of use.

This mic stand does exactly what it needs to do. It holds your mic. I don’t know what else to say about it.

This isn’t a desktop stand by any means but the low profile stand is perfect for small room studios or bedrooms. I ended up having to screw on another piece of pipe to use with my microphone but it works, well.

![]() Inaccurate Length Information, Decent Quality, By

The information listed here on Amazon indicates that this stand has a 19.75-inch fixed boom length, and the Ultimate Support website indicates a 24-inch fixed boom length. However, it’s actually 15 inches. Also the height of the center shaft is adjustable. The total usable height of the stand is about 27 inches when fully extended. I contacted Ultimate Support and submitted a product info update to Amazon, so hopefully they both will have accurate information by the time you are reading this. The picture on the Ultimate Support webpage is correct, by the way.
The quality is about what I would expect for this price. It all seems pretty robust except for the height-adjusting clutch on the center shaft, which seems very cheap and breakable. 0 |
