Ordered this for my 3 year old son who couldn’t wait to get a shiny new kazoo. Got it in the mail today, and after just a short while of playing on it, I noticed that the paint on the mouth end was all scraped away from being in his mouth! What the heck?! He was so disappointed when I had to take it from him.

As far as my limited experience with kazoo’s goes, it seems to be a very nice kazoo. It was packaged in a nice little box that had instructions on how to play it on the side, the kazoo is well made, no rough edges, it’s painted nicely, and the paint seems to be thick enough to last a while, the membrane that vibrates to make the kazoo noise appears to be some sort of thin, translucent plastic, and it makes a pleasingly loud noise when you hum into it. Seems to be a very nice kazoo for the price, barring any cruel and unusual treatment(run over by car, stepped on by elephant, etc..)I anticipate it lasting longer than I will.

I would not recommend this toy for children. Our twins each had one and the paint started chipping off the mouthpiece within about an hour of them playing with it. I obviously don’t trust the paint from China to be non toxic so they ended up in the garbage!
