First of all, I’d like to state that this is my first actual guitar. When I say actual, I mean that I’ve had those “toy” ones made for kids before, but never a “real” one. I am not an expert on guitar (YET!) but I hope to help you with your decission on buying this guitar.

I am going to write a little bit about each thing this starter kit came with:

Guitar: This guitar is kind of large compared to me (but I’m only thirteen, so, you knooow…) but it is beautiful! It is absolutely gorgeous. It has a wonderful color and shine to it. It has a lovely tone to it, as well. It sounds amazing! I would rate this 5/5 🙂
Strings: The strings are good, enough said. 5/5
Guitar Bag: It’s alright, I guess. It’s not padded at all, but it keeps the dust off. Plus it doesn’t have any other pockets in it, only where the guitar goes. I give it a 3.5/5
Tuner: This thing is SPOT ON! It’s amazing because it detects sound by vibration, so it doesn’t catch any background noises. If I could, I’d rate this 100/5, but I can’t, so it’s a 5/5 😉
Pitch pipe: Eh, it’s not in tune. Plus, since the kit already comes with a tuner, it’s kind of useless. 3/5
Picks: I love the variety of picks that this starter kit comes with! There isn’t very much to say about it, but, you know, they’re pretty good. 5/5
Instructional DVD: The DVD doesn’t work. I’ve tried it on my laptop, on my desktop computer, in all four of our TVs. Absolutely nothing happens. It says ERROR whenever I try playing it. So I searched the title of it (Getting Started on Guitar) on YouTube, and watched the videos. It’s alright I guess. But since mine didn’t work I’m giving it a 1/5
So this starter kit altogether is about a 4/5 value.

BUUUUUUUT! The shipping was AMAZING! I blew most of my money on this kit, so I didn’t want to pay for shipping, and decided to get the free 5-8 day Standard shipping. The original estimated arrival date was Oct. 15th. And then guess what happened! It got bumped back to the 11th! And then it got even better >:) It arrived on the 10th! I was SOOOOOOO pleased, and the packaging was great! So, for the amazing shipping, I decided to rate this item an overall 5/5
