Rhythm Tech pioneered the original and much imitated Hat Trick 15 years ago, a simple Hi-Hat tambourine that gave drummers a way to play tambourine patterns with their hi-hat pedal. Now we offer the Hat Trick G2. A significant step ahead featuring a unique Quick Release Knob that makes it fast and easy to put it on and take off the Hi-Hat pull rod. Additionally the G2 incorporates a stick friendly soft playing surface, so stick patterns can be used as well as the foot pedal. A super strong polymer frame keeps it light and responsive while the famous Rhythm Tech nickel or brass jingles give it its classic Rhythm Tech sound.

Doesn’t sound that great and sometimes doesn’t consistently give the best "ching" every step so that’s irritating.
However it is solid and clamps on the hh rod very good. Fast (but noisy) to take on/off for different songs. Again, I’m not in love with the sound and prefer the old school style rings. It sounds like a novelty tambourine. 0

Affordable. Well built. Affordable. What’s not to love? A great stick strike-able ching ring that is easy to take on and off and can survive stick strikes.

No matter how hard I stomped on my hat pedal, this thing would not jingle. Requested return an hour after it got here
