I decided to get this stand because it was one of the cheapest if not the cheapest on amazon. Its very easy to assemble and disassemble. It has a gripped bottom and on the top it has grip upper also to hold the computer with safety front holders to hold the computer in place and is very sturdy and really won’t fall.

No, I’m not a DJ. I’m just a standing desk aficionado. I bought this sturdy sucker for use at my standing desk– to raise my laptop up to eye level. Solid steel construction means this stand is well-weighted and stays put. Foam padding protects your computer. It is exactly what I needed. Adjusting the height requires some effort, so once you find an appropriate height, you’ll probably want to keep it there. But excellent value and excellent product.

It’s job is to hold the laptop up, without falling over if at all possible. Right? What’s so special about that? Well, that’s the constant question I have when I see tons of “PRO DJ LAPTOP MACBOOK PERFORMANCE SRILLEX STAND” bits out there. Go down to the local GuitarShack and you won’t find one for under ! Some even cost 0!?! It’s just a bit of metal and foam.
Well, that’s what this is. Yes, it’s by “Pyle”. Would I use one of their mixers on a gig of mine? Er… no. Would I have their speakers at a live Jazz session at work? If I did, I would be laughed off the gig and probably fired for how badly the speakers would sound. But, when it comes to daily-use hardware like stands, clips and the like, they are actually pretty good. It’s not NASA grade engineering to make a stand. But, they make it cheap, solid and well… as a stand! I’m pleased with it and use it at work everyday. Does what it says on the tin. By the way, they may want to reconsider the name “Pyle” in North America and the UK. The world sounds too much like what we’d call something that the dog deposits on the lawn. Doesn’t help when you’re a low end supplier (not that there’s nothing wrong with low-end. Hell, I buy their mounts, stands and rack parts!) 0 |
