First there is no on/off switch. Its on all the time.
Second, the picture makes it appear that you only get the microphone. Well it comes with a 15′ microphone cable 1/4". Why don’t they list these items?? 0

I ran a mobile sound business for 8 years and owned 12 SM-58 mics. I sold the business, but now have a basement band for fun. I really wanted to buy an SM-58, but 0 is an investment. I bought the Pyle 58 mic for and got free shipping. It is as durable and sounds as good as any of my old SM-58’s. I like the fact that it has no on/off switch. While doing sound for less than professional bands, the vocalist would sometimes accidentally turn the mic off and that became a hassle. I am going to buy more of these in the near future.

Again to my own fault, I failed to see if this mic had an on-off switch- it does not. For the money, its a good mic. Feels sturdy and constructed well. The audio quality is decent. I’ve been a musician for over 15 years so I’ve had my fair share of mics. To the reviewer who said he couldn’t tell the difference between this mic and the SHURE SM58, well, we’ll have to agree to disagree. SHURE makes one of the best LIVE/Stage mics in the industry. I simply purchased this mic as a back-up for my DJ business. I just wished I had noticed it didn’t have an on/off switch on the mic body itself.
For the money- its a very good buy. You wont get much better in terms of construction build/sound quality for around . You’ll definitely want to invest in a better mic cable, as the one that is included is really cheap. I’d suggest HOSA as they are my cable company of choice. All in all, if you’re looking for a back-up mic or a karaoke mic, this does the trick for a low price. Quality is good enough to get by, but the mic lacks the on/off switch and you’ll want to upgrade to a higher quality mic cable. 0 |
