Using Pioneer’s rekordbox App to create playlists, cue/loop points, beat location settings, waveform analysis and more, you can temporarily transfer the content wirelessly through Wi-Fi to the CDJ-2000nexus. You can also perform the same wireless function with a Mac/PC utilizing the rekordbox music management software.

Newly added features available when rekordbox is used with the CDJ-2000nexus include music file analysis functions such as Wave Form Zoom (wave form expansion) and Key, as well as additional settings such as Active Loop and Hot Cue Auto Load.
When music files are imported to rekordbox, the software analyzes each file and prepares it for use specifically for the CDJ player. Key elements of Pioneer’s rekordbox software:

The CDJ-2000nexus features a large, full-color WQVGA 6.1-inch (480 x 234) LCD panel for displaying song titles and album art as well as detailed track information. The Wave data of each song is also illustrated on screen and the new Wave Zoom function provides five different levels of magnification of the wave data which are color-coded according to bandwidth.
Pro DJ Link
Pioneer’s Pro DJ Link feature enables up to four CDJ-2000nexus players to connect via the Link Port and share a single music source. Additional functions added to the CDJ-2000nexus that can be accessed when other players are connected using the Pro DJ Link are:
- Beat Sync–Tempo and beat location of music currently playing on one of the device can be matched with the push of a button.
- Traffic Light–Shows the keys of music being played by any players connected via Pro DJ Link, making key-compatible music easier to find by a different color indicator.
- Beat Count and Phase Meter–The Beat Count, which is the number of beats until a set point (memory cue), and the Phase Meter, which shows the beat/bar of the music, can also be displayed simultaneously by other players.
Slip Mode
When activated, Slip Mode silently continues song playback during a loop, reverse or scratch and continues audible playback at the exact time when the loop, reverse or scratch is ended, resulting in smoother transitions.

This thing is a beast. I used to have CDJ 800s in the past and these are far better in every way. The link, traffic light, record box, and hooking up USB stick is fantastic. They are great players, but before you purchase a pair of these, think about getting the 900s or 850s. About half of the clubs I spin at are still using 1000MKIIIs or 900s.

I’m giving this product a one star for multiple reasons. firstly, they deleted mine and many others who had left 3-4 star reviews. What are they trying to hide? I’ll tell you… See below and check out the pioneerdj forums if you question my validity..
First off, they must have created another product page for the CDJ-2000 Nexus units because I left a review when I bought them nearly a year ago. Whatever, I’ll tell you why I’ve given this device a one star rating. The players are solid and built well. They do what they are designed to do and do it well. So why the poor rating? Well, first off these units are nearly dependent upon using the RekordBox application that Pioneer forces you to use, assuming you want to see the wave form of any MP3 or MP4 song. One of the main features of these decks is to use the waveform feature so you will know when the high points and low points of the song are coming up (for fading/mixing). If you own/buy these decks you have no other choice but to use the Rekordbox application to save the waveform information and view it on the players. That would normally not be such a big deal but here’s the problem. Rekordbox (in it’s current state 7/30/2013) absolutely sucks! If you check out Pioneer’s forums you will see the community is outraged by this garbage they call software. All user reported bugs/issues/feature requests seem to be ignored and if this application does receive an update it’s usually every 6 months with NONE of the community requested features. The program often crashes and Pioneer can’t provide much support since they don’t make the software. Really? You force your customers to use a piece of junk application that you have little control over and can’t provide adequate support for? MixVibes makes Rekordbox for Pioneer and it’s apparent that the Pioneer community is looking for basic features that aren’t being properly communicated to the people at MixVibes. When you address your complaint to Pioneer support they close your thread and say they will make a note of it. These would be 5-star devices if you weren’t forced into using such a horrendous application that Pioneer has no intentions of supporting. Can you imagine buying an ipad/iphone and being forced to use iTunes which in turn is made by a company on the other side of the globe and they can’t fix the bugs or implement new features? I don’t think Apple would be as huge as they are if they went this route. Unless someone finds a way to "jailbreak" these units so you can utilize them to their full potential and without having to rely on Rekordbox I’d use extreme caution before buying them. Here’s my advice, download Rekordbox from Pioneers website (free download). Try using the program, converting mp3 files, etc. and see if this is something you want to deal with on a daily basis. That should help you decide if you want to drop money on these or a used car. 0

This review is from: Pioneer CDJ-2000-NXS Digital DJ Turntable (Electronics)
I have 2 of these and they have performed perfectly from day 1. I use them every weekend and they are exactly what I was looking for. I love the SD Card Slot, I am able to leave the card in all the time. Easy to set up and use, I will probably add a third and fourth player soon.
