Vendor description says it’s “crafted from synthetic phenolic material.” I say it’s made of wood (“siam oak”, I think). That’s great, prefer that. Has a good feel to it, comfortable grip, nice weight and balance, and the relatively stubby, solid build makes it easy to play it loud with little effort, meaning you can play fasrer and longer. Makes my cowbell sound better, and the rubber part is useful in muting it. Can also be used as a pocket billy club (that’s what it looks very much like). Now I can hit people who get too close to my cowbell, and then serenade them Charlie Watts style as they pass out.
