Let me put a few things in perspective here before I start.
I am a returning DJ. I started DJing in the 70s using a pair of Technics SL-1200MK2 turntables paired with Shure M 97 cartridges. A pair of phase linear 400 power amps and the 4000 preamp. I retired from professional DJing in the mid 90s. I came out of retirement for a brief period in late 2003/2004 during which time I played around with the Numark CDN 90. This unit made a great impression on me. This review however is not about the CDN 90. It is about the Numark IDJ LIVE 2, so let me get on with it. 0 ![]() it’s “Off The Chain”,

Love my new board. It is awesome. Easy set up and works great. I saw a picture of the one with the blue trim, but I didn’t have the option to get that. That’s my only issue. The unit works great with my ipad and iPod. Haven’t figured hou how to have it to link with my Virtual DJ as yet, but will keep trying. Did I say I love this unit? Yes, I love this unit. The iDjay2 program is off the chain and with this unit…it’s "Off The Chain"

This controller is wonderful for house parties. It is simple, easy to use and works with almost any USB equipment including iPhone, iPad, Mac and PC. It comes with a light edition software for Mac only, but it still functions well with other software and other PCs. It also comes with a stand to place your iPad or Macbook(if you have one) which I haven’t found an use for(because I don’t have one). I’ve only used this controller in my home studio and in my opinion it works very well. It’s simplicity with basic controls(sync, cue, volume, bass, treble, pitch, etc.) make it very easy to learn to use and mixing these different controls can create a wide variety of different sounds and mixes. I would recommend this to any novice or intermediate DJ looking for something new to mix on.
