The MOD Reverb Tanks are high quality upgrade units. Some of the major differences between the MODs and other reverb tanks are that the Transducers are wired directly to their respective RCA jacks as opposed to current production tanks where Transducers are connected by a detachable plug to their respective RCA jacks. This makes the tanks less receptive to any outside interference. The original Hammond Accutronics tanks from the 1960’s were also wired directly to their respective RCA jacks. In addition very close attention has been paid to the spacing and size of the lamination of the Transducers resulting in a more vintage like tone.

I was going to rid myself of my 2011 Blues Jr. III with its sporadic reverb issue. Based on some research I ordered this reverb tank and thus far, it is working flawlessly. A dramatic improvement for me. Much warmer. The original sounded thin and couldn’t be used after about a level 4. If you own a blues jr. III, buy this tank. Low investment, high reward. Better quality and more usable throughout its range.

Installs in just minutes (if that) and is a huge improvement over the stock reverb in the AC15CC1. Note that the connector colors are reversed on the stock ruby reverb tank, so that white goes into red, red into white when you install this one.

Much better sounding than the stock reverb tank that came in my Vox AC15CC1. I would definitely recommend this to others.
