I wasn’t sure what to expect, considering a nice set of tabla are usually at least double this price. They came in tune, to C#, and sound totally authentic. They ship from New Delhi, India, so they are the real deal in that respect.
If you are a beginner, or even an experienced drummer/percussionist, you should understand that this is not your average percussion instrument. If you’ve ever watched tabla players live or even on YouTube… those guys make it look easy. I don’t want to come off as discouraging, but this is not an easy instrument to play properly and make it sound good in proper time, although you can get some great sounds just “playing around”. Hindustani Classical music is very serious stuff. Out of all the World Music that I have studied, so far this appears to be the most complex and complicated music to master. It allows the musician improvisational freedom within the traditional framework. I wish anyone considering participating in this music good fortune on their journey. Enjoy! 0

Its just the way I wanted. Initially I was little concerned about the product delivery because it was coming from India but the packing was very good. It was tightly packed in a box. I got this Tabla set in a perfect condition. You get a tuning hammer and a book for reference which can be helpful for beginners. Overall a great product. Loved it!!!!

This is a very good quality set of tabla – better than others I have paid much more for. After a few hours of playing and tuning they are concert ready. Nice heavy weight and uniform tension of the heads. Package was shipped quickly and the seller is fast at returning emails. I am very glad I bought these and will be playing them frequently. Highly recommended!
