![]() Box of Warmth,
This review is from: LR Baggs Para Acoustic D.I. (Electronics)
I needed something to keep beside me when switching between guitars that have different electronics in them. I use 3 main guitars with very different set ups. A Seagull S6 with an LR Baggs M1 Active, A Baden D style with Fishman Aura Elipse, and A Sunlite GWJ 2600 Jumbo Cutaway with their own peizo system with EQ and built in chorus.
Each of these guitars has it’s own personality and needs different tweaks. The Para Acoustic warms them all up quite nicely. It did all I wanted it to and more. I also tried it for vocals into a Roland Mobile Cube for street performing and it smoothed out the signal and warmed it up beautifully. It enables the little Mobile Cube to handle more volume without breaking up. I love the Para and I am buying another one so I can use it for vocals and guitar throught the Mobile Cube on the street. This will give me a great street rig that all fits in a laptop bag. The L.R. Baggs Para Acoustic D.I. is the goods. 0

![]() Worth the Price, By
At first, i didn’t want to spend 0 on the PAra Acoustic and was aiming to buy the APhex Acoustic Xicter that ran under 0. I did my research and found many professionals highly recommended the PAra Acoustic. I took a calculated risk and bought it and am very pleased with my decision.
The Para Acoustic has eight Knobs to control bass, tremble, presence and others this can look complicated but it comes with a simple instruction manual that shows you how to effectively tweak it. The members in my band love the new rich sound from my acoustic which before tinny and inaudible. Definate Buy for Acoustic players and other instruments like the violin which need a active DI Box to control and boost their sound. 0

![]() Ideal for Acoustics with Piezo pickups, By
BassMan (Seattle, WA United States) – See all my reviews
I’ve been using one of these for a few years now and I love it. I play a Seagull acoustic that I had a piezo pickup installed in. The parametric EQ on the LR Baggs box lets me dial out the harsh tinny sounds that are over emphasized by the pickup, and dial in the warmer tones to more closely match the un-amplified sound of my guitar. I use this as a direct box live, for recording, and as an EQ when I run my guitar into an old tube amp I like to use. It works great for me in every case, and I highly recommend it over other Acoustic DIs I’ve tried.
