The volca Beats delivers unforgettably classic sounds with six analogue and four PCM-based drum parts. Instant editing via the intuitive user interface allows users to cut/mix/slice loops on the fly to deliver a devastating analogue rhythm experience. The six editable analogue parts offer one knob per function for easy editing, while the four PCM parts provide speed control for drastic changes in pitch. Volca Beats is equipped with a 16-step sequencer with eight memory patches and the Sync In and Out functions allow clock sync of multiple instruments from the volca Series as well as Korg’s Monotribe

This is such an easy tool to create a catchy and anolog sounding rhythm. Originally I thought this would be the one I didn’t like outta the 3…but I’d say the bass is the least used. (based on its not gonna outdo the subphatty. )easily tweakable sounds. So even though it includes 8 different sound beats…you can change each sound vastly..
UPDATE UPDATE UPDATE….before I was not that Good at the drums…this thing has allowed me to get better and better with the step sequencer and has also helped me get an overall better view how to construct beats/songs….its the best musical purchase I’ve ever made…it should cost double the 149$ price 0

This is one of the very few items in the world of music making which I would classify as a must-buy item for almost anyone. Perfect for those interested in beatmaking or for those looking for looking for an inexpensive route into making music using hardware intead of, or in addition to, software. The kick drum tone is worth the price of admission alone, and the snare has a gritty, complex texture that to my ears is more interesting than the snare of the 808, 909, or similar drum machines. The sequencer is bonehead easy to use, and the stutter function is great for adding interest to your rhythm patterns, especially when tempo-locked. I use mine as a tone generator in a large midi setup, primarily for background tones to beef up sampled breakbeats.
But even if you’re not a beatmaker per se, there is still a case to be made for buying one of these. There are metronomes as expensive as this, and the Volca Beats is so much more useful than any metronome. Though I’m somewhat proficient in a number of other instruments, I recently decided to teach myself the guitar. This device transforms scale practice into something groovy and fun, something that cannot be said for any metronome I’ve ever used, and I’ve used a few. The low price makes it ideal as a gift for kids (and adults) learning music fundamentals, especially insofar as it runs on batteries and has a small built-in speaker. A twelve-year old will have this thing figured out inside of 15 minutes, and the experience of having created meaningful music from scratch might just spur them to learn other instruments. Highly, highly recommend for damn near anyone. 0

My BEATS came quickly, safely, and awesomely. I’ve got it paired up with the BASS and KEYS, and it’s an insanely fun to mess around with.
