I’m very new to bodhran playing and all the tippers I’ve handled so far made feel as if I would never be able to play well. I bought this one and the weight helps with triplets SO much that I’ve already advanced a few levels in one sitting. It’s solid and makes a beautiful tone. Heavy, but not too heavy. Perfect.

Everyone loves a good tipper, and this one is great. It’s of a suitable length and heft for a beginner, or intermediate player, some pros prefer this style as well. Made from high quality hardwood, with the slightest care it should last a lifetime. Well finished, it feels good in the hand, and doesn’t cost all that much. You really can’t ask for more.

I really like the weight of this tipper. Perfect for beginners or experts. The center of mine seems to be slightly off but that just makes my down beats easier. It’s light weight enough to do fast beats but heavy enough to be heard above those other loud instruments. Can’t beat it for the price!
