I’m using this in V1 in a 5 watt tube amp. It’s really nice. I tried the NOS route and I much prefer this tube. The other good thing is it comes in a box from JJ, unlike some tubes from other places I’ve ordered where they seem to lose their original boxes along the way and it looks like everyone and their brother has been messing with them.

If you want a 12AT7 tube that is in a preamp position and will affect your sound, then you should probably not consider my review. I bought this for the reverb drive (V7 position) on my Fender Twin Amp (ProTube). As far as I know, it does not really affect the sound. So it could be a harsh junky tube or a smooth & sweet tube and I wouldn’t know the difference. I have no issues with feedback with my reverb, so it is probably safe to assume that the tube is at the very least not highly microphonic.
The pins are normal size, so the tube fit snugly into the socket. Packaging was good enough to ensure the tube ships without damage, unless, of course, the shipper does something unreasonable to the package. 0
