So it was unnerving to me out that this Retail 0 guitar was only going for , but I figured for bucks I may as well. (Also, the lack of reviews – which prompted me to write this one – made me suspicious. I’m a recording/performing acoustic musician, and this guitar is AWESOME. Unplugged is when it really shines. Bare, raw, full acoustic sound – better than any other I’ve played under 0. Honestly, the electronics in this thing are kind of weak, I’m not a fan of passive pickups, but these are comparable to anything on the market.
So take it from someone who kind of knows what he’s talking about when I say – buy the guitar. It’ll be the best you’ll ever spend. P.S – the gig bag is a piece of garbage, but other than that… 0

I bought this guitar to replace another guitar that got stolen. It seems to be constructed well, it sounds good and is easy to play. I would recommend it for someone looking for an inexpensive guitar for a beginner or intermediate player.

I got this guitar as a “beater,” or something I didn’t care if I knocked around, that I could work with and enjoy and take to the camp, or plug in and play through the amp. I was hoping it would feel OK and sound OK, but my hopes were not high.
Maybe that’s why I think this thing is darn near perfect. The sound is terrific. It has good tone, solid resonance and sounds great unplugged. Plugged in, it’s so-so, but that’s to be expected. The feel, fit and finish are also terrific. Cheap guitars often have strings that are too far from the frets, or that hang on the higher frets. This one feels about right. The strings press down into the frets perfectly and it feels good in my hands, so much so that it has become my favorite guitar to pick up and fiddle on. It comes with only one strap button and I wish it had another. I am a little scared to try to install one near the head of the guitar on the back of the neck connection point for fear of damaging this thing. That would break my heart. After owning it, I’d certainly be willing to pay more than this for another should that be necessary. It’s worth double its cost (and I am cheap, so it could be worth triple its cost). Pros Cons 0 |
