![]() Best Acoustic Amp Out There.,
This review is from: Fishman PRO-LBX-600 Loudbox Artist (Electronics)
I have been a musician for over 40yrs. and have played through just about every type of amp made big to small. Just recently I took up playing in a duo with my son and we decided to go electric and acoustic. I had never really paid any attention to the acoustic amps because I have always played solid body and semi hollow guitars through a combo amp. I purchased my first acoustic electric guitar a Seagull Entourage which happened to be my choice after trying out many other brands. This has another review on Amazon. I plugged this guitar into a regular combo amp and, it did sound very good but, it just didn’t exactly give me what I was looking for. So I was an amp quest, read many reviews tried many different acoustic amps and, the Fishman is the best of all of them. When I plugged in my Seagull I was blown away by the sound and, the features of this amp. At 25lbs. this is a beautiful amp. There are two front channels that may be used in any configuration, I use 1 for instruments and 1 for vocals, I run this amp directly behind me on a stand and the sound is fabulous! Plenty of volume and, Great tone and, NO feedback.
There’s a lot more, there are 2 aux inputs on the back side I use one for a Boss drum machine and the other for an Mp3 player. This amp is loaded with so many features that it can be used for so many configurations it’s just a work of art. At 120 watts there is plenty of headroom to spare, I have never even came close to running the master volume at 12o’clock. If you are looking for an acoustic amp check this one out you will not be dissappointed. 0

Verified Purchase(What’s this?)
This amp is fabulous. I use it for my classical guitars with a mic, my electric classicals, and my archtop jazz guitar. All of them sound great! The classical guitars sound like classsical guitars, not electric guitars. The jazz guitar sounds as it should also. The effects are awesome, and there is more than most people would ever use. It’s light and convenient to carry, I recommend getting the case, as no matter how careful you are, amps get bumped. This one is so beautiful I don’t want it all beat up.

![]() Comparison to the Roland AC33, By

I originally ordered the Roland AC33. I liked that it could be used on battery power and really loved the idea of having a Looper built in to the amp. I also noticed that the price of the Loudbox Artist typically dips down to around 0 on Amazon though if you have the patience to wait a week or 3.
It was worth the wait and the saving of the additional . The Fishman Artist can easily be used as a 3 channel amp (since you have an aux input that takes either 1/4″ jack or 1/8″ jack) making it really nice when playing at jams. I also liked the ability to have a DI output. In short, it is WAY more of an amp for the small price difference (). Just means I’ll have to save up for a good Loop effects box–but I am fine with that. 😉 0 |
