I rate this a 5 based on what it is, not on what I wish it was. As an effect that helps deal effectively with annoying piezo tinny-ness, this fits the bill once you figure out how to set it. I like the option to load mic models using the software, and the build quality is very solid.
I have a Martin d-16 rgt with a fishman prefix ust added; it sounds pretty good on its own, but the pedal basically eliminates any piezo nuttiness. The sound is “rounder,” but you will probably need to add eq to your own taste, especially with a dreadnought, which will undoubtedly be bass heavy. I also have an Eastman 000-size with K&K pickups, and they don’t need much help, but this pedal gives a little versatility and works well as a preamp for boosting the lower output of the unpowered pickups. 0

Fishman Aura Sixteen pedal, Well if you play an acoustic instrument is really good. I was looking to find ways to play my Greek bouzouki with the unique sound that it has, publicly.
I always sounded a bit electric on stage,.. Now i am very close to that unique sound from that beautiful sound that comes out of that instrument!!!! 0

Fishman has done a great job with this pedal. It will allow you to emulate a variety of very nice guitars. If you are looking to purchase another guitar to try and get a particular sound, try this first! The only thing I didn’t like is the unit does not ship with a 9V power supply adapter. Other than that, I’ve very pleased with the purchase.
