This product is top notch. The photo makes you to believe that the amp is alot bigger than what it really is. However I spent a few hours playing my guitar through this amp and the info displayed on this website concerning this amp isn’t doing justice. This amp has modeling features and built in effects that makes it a great amp for playing gigs. The sound is superb and the loudness is unbelievable. I’m very satisfied with this purchase.

![]() Fantastic Little Amp,
This review is from: Fender Champion 20, Guitar Amplifier, Black (Electronics)
I recently re-discovered my electric guitar I had in my folks’ basement after all these years. I pulled it out of the bag and noticed it was a cream colored 50th Anniversary Strat. Whoa! I forgot I even bought this guitar! Been almost 20 years I guess. Anyway, I didn’t feel like lugging my 1980’s Peavey Mace amp out of the basement to my house so I plan on selling it and I decided to get a smaller practice amp. Nothing fancy. I did want distortion as well as a clean sound for all the types of music I like to play….er….should I say "try" to play. I thought I would have to settle for a small amp with just volume; maybe bass and treble and have to get a distortion pedal.
I started doing research and found that they made amps with built in sound effects. Shows you how long I’ve been out of the game. I did moderate research on these amps and I ended up getting this Champ 20. Couldn’t be happier. Great sound with built-in effects like Chorus, Delay, Wah, etc. There’s also four Fender amp settings–Tweed, Blackface, British, and Metal. Turn the Gain up to 7+ and the Amp setting to Metal and voilá! You have the distorted sound you were looking for without having to buy a pedal. I was debating between this and the Line 6 Spider and I decided on this one. Both have similar features so it came down to aesthetics. I wasn’t crazy about the shiny chrome dials on the Spider and I love the way this Fender looks sitting next to my Strat. Hey, all things being equal, sometimes it does come down to looks. 🙂 Sweet little amp for the price. 0 |
