Had to return 1st one after a few weeks due to a buzz on low A (guitar, 5th fret on 6th string). Supplier said they have few returns on the Patriot series. Second one had no problem and sounds better all the time as it gets broken in (it’s a replacement for the stock speaker in a Fender Super Champ XD). Bell-like tones, good articulation throughout the sonic spectrum. A well-balanced speaker.

I listened to every sound sample I could, and decided on this to replace the stock speaker in my 1968 Princeton (not a re-issue). I broke it in for about 6 hours and then got impatient. This thing is a joy to play. I love putting clean Jazz into it (originally why I bought it). A friend wanted to jam and I was playing bass, and let him use the Copperhead/Princeton with his strat, and WOW did it sound great. Much crisper than any stock speaker I have ever heard. I used to have a thing for Celestions, and though Celestions are great too, Eminence is a better value in my opinion. Made in the USA too!

I have a ’73 Princeton reverb that had worn out its original speaker so I started researching my options and this was one that I found many people liked with the Princeton and I have to agree this speaker really has a great tone. It has really good low end thump without getting mushy and the mids and highs have a really nice chime. The speaker did take some time to break in and was a little harsh for about a month of playing but once it loosened up it opened up and sounds great and I swear it keeps getting better, every time I play my Princeton I just get a big grin from the wonderful tone. This speaker also does very well with dirt and fuzz pedals and gets plenty dirty without becoming mush. I compared my Princeton with a friends who had a Weber speaker in his and we both agreed the Copperhead had a more lively quality to the sound, not that the Weber sounded bad in any way.
