D’Addario’s J81 strings are designed for use with Irish bouzoukis of various scales. The unwound strings are made from plain steel and the wound strings arre phopshor bronze, acclaimed worldwide for its great, long-lasting tone. Phosphor Bronze was introduced to string making by D’Addario in 1974 and has become synonymous with warm acoustic tone.

If you want a brilliant sound and good projection, this is your choice. I just bought them and are great.
Note that they are 4 pairs of Irish Bouzouki strings tuned in this way: dd-aa-DD-GG (or ee-aa-DD-GG). If you want to tune your bouzouki dd-aa-Dd-Gg, you must purchase the Greek Bouzouki strings. Enjoy! 0

Usually I play with my G and D paired with octave strings, but those were not supplied in this set. Otherwise, the sound quality of the strings is great!
