This was bought for my son’s birthday. He had been playing a “hand me down” from a family member. He was buying new mouthpieces. He wants to pursue the trumpet and was looking for a quality instrument. I was a bit skeptical because of the low cost. (We had been shopping locally.) I purchased the Conductor 200 Trumpet about two weeks ago. I had a Steuben
trumpet I had purchased locally from a classified about two years ago, when I started to play after 40 years of inactivity. I also have an older Blessing Scholastic that has been refurbished to make my comparisons to. The price of the Conductor 200 was just over A C note so I didn’t have my expectations built to a crescendo, but like a child at Christmas I was excited to see what I had received. The package was double boxed and the Trumpet was in a soft case in the second box, very well packed. The trumpet comes with a tuner, oil, and a 7c mouth piece. I removed the Trumpet and oiled the valves, the action was smooth and easy. I put the 7c to my lips took a deep breath, and blew a long open B flat. This horn has a great sound, it plays easily, and has to be one of the best values at Amazon. I would recommend this for beginners or anyone who wants or needs a second Horn. I was not disappointed and would consider more in the Conductor line of Trumpets. 0 |
